“Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon in the Methodist church at Taft for Mrs. C. A. Williams. The Rev. R. E. Duke and the Rev. Stanley Haven will be in charge. Pallbearers will be W. A. Williams, Williams Spessard, D.H. Gore, A.H. Basnett, M.K. Hunt, and Harvey Shell.

The Order of the Eastern Star, of which she was a past worthy matron, will officiate. She also had been postmistress at Taft for 20 years.

Funeral arrangements were made by the David Peel mortuary.”

Almyra "Myra" Leawaetta (Richards) Williams was born on April 27, 1869 to Jesse Chineth and Abigail "Abby" Jane (Humphrey) Richards, and departed this life on September 6, 1933 in Taft, Texas. She married Charles Arthur Williams, son of William and Elvira Catherine (McAdams) Williams, on November 1, 1893 in Ruthven, Iowa. To this union three daughters and one son was born: Florence Victoria, Ethel Marion, Lloyd A., and Jessie Allyne. After the birth of Florence, Charles, Myra, and the baby moved to Taft, Texas. Myra lived there for the rest of her days.
