Patrick Coin Dead.

The Funeral Takes Place in This City Today.

Mr. Patrick Coin, who was for many years a resident of this city, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Pederman, of Lisbon, North Dakota, last Friday night. The news of his death reached this city Saturday. His remains arrived in this city last evening and will be interred in the Catholic cemetery this forenoon. Services will be conducted at the Catholic church by Father Costello.

The deceased was an old gentleman who was for many years a familiar figure on the streets of Emmetsburg. He lived alone in his comfortable little home in the northwest part of town. Although advanced in years, he was active, hearty, rugged and cheerful and he attended closely to his own affairs. He was frugal and economical and had perhaps as much ready money in his possession as any man in town. Twice during the past couple of years he was dangerously ill and his recovery was extremely doubtful, but he pulled through and last November he was able to accompany his daughter to Lisbon. His age is not known, but he must have been in the neighborhood of 95 or 100 years old. He was an honorable old gentleman and he was respected by all who knew him.
