March 20,1913PATRICK DUGAN DEAD
Tuesday morning Mr. Patrick DUGAN,who resides about seven miles southwest of this city, passed to his final reward. Mr. DUGAN was in this city the middle of last week but was taken sick Saturday and passed away early Tuesday morning. The cause of his death was undoubtedly due to appendicitis as he had two attacks previously and the third one was so severe that it proved fatal.
The deceased was born in Illinois in the year 1869 and came to this country about twenty-six years ago. He and his father settled on a farm in Great Oak township and he has been a resident of that township ever since. On November 27, 1909, he
was united in marriage to Miss Nellie MCNAMARA of Ayrshire. To this union, two children, a boy and a girl, were born, the youngest being a baby a few months old. These, with the widow, are left to mourn the untimely taking away of the husband and father. Mr. DUGAN was an upright and industrious citizen and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. He was frank and outspoken and was always ready to go out of his way to do a kind act for a friend or a neighbor.
The funeral was held from Assumption church Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock. The services being conducted by Rev. Farrelly. The interment was made in St. John's cemetery.
