Janna Lee Fry, 74, 1934-2009
Funeral services for Janna Lee Fry were held Friday, January 30, 2009 at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha, Nebraska. Officiating was Pastor Ron Roemmich. Pallbearers were her six grandsons. Burial was at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Janna Lee was born August 3, 1934 in West Bend, Iowa and passed away January 26, 2009 at St. Joseph Villa, Omaha, Nebraska. She was the second daughter of Vern and LaVon (Kampen) Krug, and was raised and educated in West Bend, graduating from West Bend High School in 1952. Janna Lee was married to Donald Fry in 1957 at the United Methodist Church in West Bend. Janna lived many places while her husband had a career in the U.S. Air force.
Janna Lee enjoyed traveling and all holidays, making Christmas ornaments, bowling, playing cards and being with her family.
Janna Lee is survived by her children, Kaysie (Michael) Wiebel-haus, Omaha, Nebraska, Brian Fry, Plankington, South Dakota, and Cherie Fry of Omaha; nine grand¬children and two great-granddaughters; sisters, Beverly Mogler and Donnavieve Nilles of Fort Dodge, Ethel (Bob) Klepper of West Bend, and a brother-in-law John Doty of Fort Dodge; also numerous nieces and nephews. Janna Lee was preceded in death by a daughter, Marian Germain in 1998, her parents, Vern & LaVon Krug and one sister, Shirley Mae Doty.
