Thomas Walsh, Jr. is Dead

Sunday, Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walsh, of Nevada township, died at St. Joseph's Hospita at Sioux City where he had been taken some time before to undergo a surgical operation for some ailment. We understand that his death was the result of the surgical effort to give him relief, his condition not being such that anything could be done for him. The remains were brought to this city Monday evenig and were taken to the home of hisi parents southeast of town. The funeral took place Tuesday forenoon. The usual services were conducted at Assumption church by Very Rev. J.J. Smith. There was a large procession. The burial was in St. John's Cemetery.
The deceased was a member of a large family of sons and daughters. He was born in this county and spent practically all of his life in the neighborhood that knew him in infancy and in boyhood. He was a young man of good habits and was a loving brother and an obedient son. Several years ago he met with a misfortune that practically disabled him physically. His death at such an early age is a severe blow to his aged parents and his devoted brothers and sisters, who have the sympathy of all in their sorrow. The deceased was 22 years of age. The surviving members of the family are the parents, three sons and four daughters. The sons are Patrick, Michael and James. The daughters are Mrs. P. Brodigan, Mrs. P. Hearrity and Misses Mary and Josie, who are at home.
