Rites Held for A.H. Suss, 78, of Graettinger
Funeral services for Albert Henry Suss, 78, of Graettinger, who died early Saturday morning were held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Fuhrman funeral home in Graettinger with the Rev. O.J. Reitz officiating. Burial was in South Walnut cemetery.
Mr. Suss was born October 20, 1884, the son of J. A. and Jane A. Suss. He received his education in the Graettinger schools.
Mr. Suss had been a cabinetmaker and wood craftsman in Graettinger since 1928. He received one year of training at a school in Des Moines and served a two-year apprenticeship in Rock Island, Illinois.
He traveled throughout the United States and Canada in the woodworking trade and also worked with the annual training classes in the Graettinger school. He was a member of the North Bethel Lutheran church.
Survivors include two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Nels Nelson (Clara) of Graettinger, Mrs. A.J. Skow (Lillian) of Bell, California, Theodore J. Suss of Graettinger and Oscar Suss of Ruthven. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Pallbearers included Merle Suss, Howard Suss, Wayne Dodge, Forrest Peterson, R. T. Naae and Ernest Andresen.
