Walter McKenzie Dies; Services at Assumption

Funeral services for Walter John McKenzie, 71, of Emmetsburg were held February 23 at 10:30 at Assumption Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. W. F. Mason officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery with Martin's in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McKenzie died February 21 at Palo Alto Memorial hospital.

Mr. McKenzie was born in Whittemore May 20, 1891, and lived in Algona before coming to Emmetsburg five years ago. He made his home with the Robert Cunningham family here for the past five years.

Survivors include nieces and nephews from Estherville, Charles City, Livermore, Algona and Emerson, Nebraska.

Pallbearers were Erwin Stork, Elmer Friedel, James Rolling, John Lennertz, Walter Rasta and Al Reiman.
