Joyce Klepper, 64
1942-2006

Joyce Klepper, 64, of Emmetsburg, formerly of West Bend, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at her home. Services were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev. Ed Tiedeman officiating. Visitation was 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Harris Funeral Home in West Bend where a parish vigil service was held at 7 p.m.

Joyce Cecelia, daughter of Stan and Bertha (Gallagher) Price, was born March 29, 1942, in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Emmetsburg and graduated from the Catholic High School in Emmetsburg. Joyce was united in marriage with Jim Klepper November 11, 1961, in Emmetsburg. The couple resided in Emmetsburg for a few years where Joyce worked at the Redwood Café. They then moved to West Bend, Iowa, where they made their home and raised their three children. Joyce worked at the West Bend Care Center and operated her own greenhouse for a time before working at Snap-On in Algona, Iowa where she was employed for 27 years. Jim and Joyce retired in Emmetsburg.

Joyce enjoyed going on cruises, woodworking, knitting and crocheting. She collected Hallmark ornaments and made dollhouse for her granddaughters. Joyce was an avid animal lover and an avid reader. She was a member of two genealogy societies.

Survivors include Joyce’s daughter, Karen and Rich Dusenberry of Sac City, Iowa and their children Chris, Tony, Nicole, Shannon, Travis and Melissa; son, Jim and Pennie Klepper of West Bend and their children, Jackie, Jamie and Kelli; son, John Klepper of Emmetsburg; great granddaughter, Kristin Dusenberry, sister Joan Price of Clinton, Arkansas; brother, Jim Price of Conway, Arkansas; brothers-and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim in 2000 and brother John Price.
