DEATH OF T.K. PALMER
Thom. K. Palmer, a well known citizen of Montgomery county, died at his residence, 101 Hammond St. on Sunday, March 19, 1905, aged sixty-one years.
The deceased was born in Vermont in 1843 and was the youngest of a family of seven children. One brother, Hyram(sic) Palmer, resides in West township, two brothers and a sister live in Illinois, while a sister, Mrs. Gillespie lives in Page county, and another, Mrs. Robison, lives in Grundy county.
Mr. Palmer was united in marriage in 1867 to Miss Mary Belle Adair. To this union were born three children, Charles, who died at the age of six years; George and Hattie (now Mrs. S.H. Patterson) both of whom live here. Mr. Palmer came west soon after his marriage settling in West township, where he resided for many years, moving to Red Oak a few years ago on account of failing health. He was a man of sterling integrity and had many qualities which commended him to the respect of his neighbors. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Red Oak, which body assisted at the funeral services which were held Tuesday afternoon.
NOTE: Hyram should be spelled Hiram.
