Services Today For Mrs. Gillespie

Funeral services for Mrs. Eva S. Gillespie, 81, Route 1, Red Oak, will be Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Nelson Chapel with the Rev. Carl Crouse officiating and burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Gillespie came to the United States,from England in 190(?) and has been a resident of Montgomery County since 1911. She died Saturday Nov. 23, at Murphy Memorial Hospital after an illness of five days.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Coate; she was born in Heliand, North Curry, England, Sept. 11, 1887, and was married in 1911 to Vernard Gillespie, who died in 1918.

Surviving are four sons, Floyd and Kenneth, both of Red Oak; Forrest of Emerson and Robert, Villisca, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. George Webb, Mrs. Joe Ga(?), Mrs. G. Harris and Mrs. Arthur Hyder, all living in England.

Mrs. Gillespie was a member of Hawthorne United Methodist Church.
