Herbert Zaiser was born March 21, 1894 and passed away after a lengthy illness on September 27, 1981 at Rapid City, S.D.

He was a former Sanborn resident and both he and his wife, were employed by the local telephone company for a number of years.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 in the Behrens Mortuary in Rapid City with Rev. John officiating.

Casketbearers were Rick Fish, Jim Wolff, Kevin Fish, Kenneth Fish, Kelly Zaiser and Rick Schumacher. Burial was in the Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis, N.D.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian, one son, LaVerne and two daughters, Claudette Newman and June Fish; 15 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Esther Welch of Hartley, Mrs. Viola Schumann of Spencer and one brother, Hal, of Hartley.
