Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the First Presbyterian church for Martha Seidsma, who had passed away July 20 at Woodward, Iowa. Rev. Vander Wolde, of Melvin, was in charge and burial was in the Melvin cemetery.

Martha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Seidsma, was born September 23, 1920 at Sanborn. Her mother passed away when she was only three years old. Martha grew up here and attended school, leaving Sanborn eleven years ago.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Seidsma, of Melvin, six brothers and sisters and six half brothers and sisters; also a grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Woudstra, of Sanborn.
