Last Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Barney Imhoff dropped dead in front of A. Bukners store in Ocheyedan of a heart stroke. The news of his sudden death shocked the entire community. Mr. Imhoff drove to Ocheyedan Saturday morning and was in good health and spirits and spoke cheerful to people there but a few minutes before his death. He was at once taken to the undertakers and a physician summoned but there was no help for him. His remains were brought to his home here Saturday night. Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church here Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. C.F.W. Brandt, of Sanborn, and his remains were interred in the Baker cemetery. He leaves a wife, four sons, five step-sons, three step-daughters and other relatives to mourn his loss. Heart felt sympathy is extended.
