SIBLEY, Iowa — Bernice Bell Jensen, 69, of Sibley died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Sibley, with the Rev. Dale Phelps officiating. Burial will be in Holman Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Walton, Roste and Vogel Funeral Home in Sibley.

Mrs. Jensen was born June 23, 1930, in Oto, Iowa, the daughter of Irving and Margaret (Hamilton) Wise. She was raised and attended school in Oto.

She married Norman Jensen on Dec. 12, 1950, in Smithland, Iowa. The couple lived in Rodney, Missouri Valley, Sioux City, Smithland, Kingsley and Le Mars, Iowa, and Worthington, Minn. In 1960, they moved to Sibley, where they lived for six years before moving to Fremont, Neb. and years later, they returned to Sibley.

They owned and operated Jensen's NAPA Auto Parts, where she was a bookkeeper. She owned and operated a gift shop known as House of Gifts in Sibley.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and participated in women's activities. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, sewing and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter and her husband, Linda and Ron Bosma of Ocheyedan, Iowa; two sons and their wives, Bruce and Cindy of Atlanta, Ga., and Brad and Sandy of Sibley; 12 grandchildren, Melanie Hellinga, Tim, Laura, Missy, Tom, Gabe and Ashley Bosma and Natalie, Michael, Kari, Kristi and Kelby Jensen; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marvena Erwin of Worthington, Letha Ronfeldt of Sioux City and Genevieve Ferguson of Sherwood, Ore.; and four brothers, Loren Wise and his wife, Pat, of Oto, Irving Wise Jr. of Hot Springs, Ark., Thomas Wise of Wentworth, Mo., and Dewaine Wise of Neosho, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Floyd and Cecil Wise.
