I was just informed of the death of Jean Heibult. Jean was one of the
charter members of the Ostfriesen Genealogical Society in George, Iowa and a
mainstay in that organization ever since that time. Her loss is an
incredible blow to that organization and to her family. I've known Jean for
many years and attended many meetings in the George, IA area over the years.
She has helped many from the USA and all over the world and many owe her a
debt of gratitude for her help.

Her obituary is as follows:
Jean Heibult, 73, Ashton, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Osceola Community
Hospital in Sibley. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Lyon
County First Presbyterian Church in rural George. Burial will be at the
church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 9, with family
present 6-8 p.m., at Jurrens Funeral Home in George.
