May Feenstra, age 82, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 11, 2012, at 1:30 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley. Rev. Jim Berka officiating.

Burial in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.
Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2012, from 1:00 to 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.

May Ruth Feenstra was born on May 9, 1929, in Sibley, Iowa. She was the daughter of P.F.L. and Trientje Marie (Behrens) Timmermann. She lived her youth in rural Sibley, Iowa where she attended a country school. Her father died when she was young and at age 13, she moved to town with her mother and sister, Ida and attended school in Sibley.

She was united in marriage to Delbert Feenstra of Sibley, Iowa on October 29, 1948 in Sibley. They lived in Sibley, where May was a homemaker, until 1959, when they moved to Thornton, Colorado. In 1988, they moved back to Sibley. Delbert passed away on May 22, 1989. May continued to live in Sibley.

May enjoyed crocheting and made many crocheted gifts for others. She also enjoyed traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. Her life was centered around her family.

She was a member of Church of the Rockies Drive-In Church in Thornton, Colorado.

She passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son and daughter-in-law: David and Pat Feenstra of Sibley, IA, and their children: Delbert "Butch" and Lisa Feenstra and their children: Isaac, Adeline, and Ella, Gordon and Lori Feenstra and their children: Noah, Autumn, and Dominick, Pamela and Torrey McNallan and their child: Aiden; one daughter and son-in-law: Ruth Marie and John Cummings of Thornton, CO, and their children: Krystal and Hung Than and their son: Tyler, and Sheryl Nguyen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert; her parents; five brothers, five sisters, and two infant siblings.
