ASHTON, IOWA — DAVIS – Willa E., was born Dec. 11, 1964, in Spangler, daughter of William and Joann (Farrel) Rummel. She lived her youth in Barnesboro, attending high school at Northern Cambria. She graduated from Valley Forge Christian College with a four-year degree in music. She was a music teacher for a number of years. She married James A. Davis of Johnstown on May 2, 1987, in Phenioxville, Pa., where they lived for a number of years. The family moved to Ashton, Iowa, where she home schooled her two daughters. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, George, Iowa. She loved pictures, animals, gardening, doing painting, knitting, quilting and writing music. Willa died at her home in Ashton on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, after a long illness at the age of 45. She leaves to cherish her memories, husband, James; two daughters, Elizabeth and Grace Davis, all of Ashton, Iowa; her mother, Joann, and husband, James Davis, Northern Cambria; her father, William, and wife, Cathy Rummel, Utah; and one sister, Carla, and husband, Steve Gifford, Idaho.
