Henry G. Den Beste, age 73, died at his home Thursday, July 4, at Sibley. Funeral services were held Monday,July 8, at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church in Sibley. Rev. Henry Poppen officiated. Interment was in Holman Township Cemetery at Sibley.

Henry Gerrit Den Beste was born May 8, 1901 at Sioux Center, the son of John and Hattie Den Hartog Den Beste.

On August 4,. 1926 he was united in marriage to Margaret G. Van DerWilt,at Middleburg,la. They lived at Boyden,and Sibley where he retired in 1986.

Mr. Den Beste worked at the Osceola Co-op Creamery for 44 years. He was a member of First Reformed Church and was a Deacon in the church.

He leaves to mourn his wife Margaret,two sons and two daughters: Harlan of Grand Island, New York; Delores(Mrs. Richard Dick) of Newark, Delaware; Glenda (Mrs. Earl Emory) of Fawler, Indiana; and John of Grand Island, New York; eight grandchildren,and two sisters and brothers: Kate (Mrs. Charles Pabst) Orange City, Ia.;Margaret (Mrs. Henry Grevengoed)Toledo, Ohio; Edward of Sioux City and Warren of Sheldon. He was preceded in death by one son.

Walton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
