Ida Calsbeek, age, 93, of Sibley, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Country View Manor in Sibley.

Funeral Services will be Monday, August 2, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at the First Reformed Church in Sibley. Rev. Gary Van Heukelom officiating.

Burial in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 1, from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley.

Ida Artie Calsbeek was born on July 15, 1917, in Sibley, Iowa. She was the daughter of Henry and Margie (Kamerman) Calsbeek.

She lived her youth in the Sibley area, where she attended a country school. Ida worked in the telephone office, Rupiper’s Coast To Coast Hardware Store, Lee’s Dime Store, and for Dr. Fox in his eye clinic. She also did house work in the area. She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Sibley for many years and later transferred her membership to the First Reformed Church in Sibley. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Sibley. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden and taking care of her flowers.

Ida will be remembered as a loving person, who enjoyed having her family over, especially her nieces and nephews.

She passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Country View Manor in Sibley.

Those left to cherish her memories are her brother and sister-in-law: Elmer and June Calsbeek of Reno, NV; two sisters-in-law: Angie Calsbeek of Sibley, IA and Margaret Calsbeek of Sibley, IA; many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters: Berdina Natte, Coba Gruis, Anna Calsbeek, Johanna Scharlepp; two brothers: Harvey Calsbeek and Joe Calsbeek.
