Hi! I am looking for information on my great grandfather, Andrew Jackson Welch. He was born February 21, 1876. My mother remembers hearing the story told that Andrew was adopted by two unmarried sisters from Swifton, AR. The story was told that these sisters traveled to New York City and brought Andrew back to Arkansas with them. On the 1900 census it states that Andrew was born in Missouri. I am confused. A friend mentioned that maybe the sisters went to Missouri and brought him to Arkansas. Maybe he was or was not part of the orphan train. I may be traveling the wrong path in finding Andrew WELCH.
