Wondering if you are still searching. My grandfather, adoptive father of my mother, Thomas Potter, Sheldon, IA., was a very good friend of your grandfather. Also, we believe your mother, Mary Ellen, graduated in the same Sheldon High School class of 1938. Our family is searching for my mother's biological siblings, and came across a reference to your grandfather. Would you have any information regarding this reference?
