Fred Soop, lifelong resident of Sanborn, passed away at the Community Memorial Hospital, Hartley, at 1:30 am Wednesday, April 20. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 22, at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Sanborn with the rev. Frank Koksma officiating. Sanborn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Immediate survivors are his wife, Marguerite, three daughters: Mrs. Kenneth (Daisy Belle) Roberts of Lynnwood, Washington, Mrs. Robert E. (Florence) Hansen of Hartley, and Mrs. Jack (Virginia) Dolphin of Spencer; and 14 grandchildren.
