Services Held for Edward Miller

Services for Edward Miller were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 1985, at Siloam Lutheran Church with the Rev. Louis Sievert officiating. The pallbearers were Paul Miller, Scott Jones, Gary Koester, Bruce Hohbach, Todd Stanley and Duane VanDyke. "The Lord's My Shepherd" was sung by Mrs. Peggy Bochmann and "Awake My Soul to Joyful Layz" and "My Course is Run", were sung by the congregation with Mrs. Brenda Hunt at the organ. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa. The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Edward Miller, the son of Charley and Wilhelmina Schuknecht Miller, was born on April 22, 1899, in Cherokee, Iowa. He attended country schools in Cherokee County and later worked for the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad for many years, retiring in 1965.

He made his home in Paullina and in September, 1983, he became, a resident of the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina until he passed away on October 16, 1985, reaching the age of 86 years, 5 months and 24 days.

Ed leaves to mourn his passing one brother, Charles Miller of Paullina and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and John, and two sisters, Clara VanDyke and Alma Koester.
