Funeral Services Held Saturday for Emil Hibbing, 77

Funeral services were held Saturday for Emil Hibbing, a life-long Paullina resident who died Sept 27 at the age of 77. He became ill early in the afternoon, was taken to Sioux Valley Hospital at Cherokee immediately and died that evening.

The Rev. Melvin Thur conducted the services at Zion Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. Soloist was Mrs. Marvin Fintel accompanied by organist N. H. Behrens. Gaudian Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery.

The deceased was born March 12, 1890 in Paullina and farmed in this vicinity until his retirement in 1956. He was married to Martha Ahlers Oct. 19, 1924 at Paullina.

Survivors include then widow, three sons, Reinhart Reinhart [sic]of Hartley, Herbert of Paullina and Arnold of Cherokee and 10 grandchildren.
