William Andrew Stellish, 78, of Dickens died Monday, March 10 at Spencer Municipal Hospital. Last rites were held on Thursday, March 13, at 2 pm from Warner Chapel in Spencer with burial at Pleasant View Cemetery at Hartley. The Rev. Kenneth Bressler and Rev. Ken Suetterline officiated.

He was born on May 3, 1896 to Fred and Johanna Stahl Stellish at Whittemore, Iowa. On December 7, 1921, he was married to Lula Kellum at Sutherland [Iowa]. Mr. Stellish received his education in rural Hartley schools. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion, the Dickens United Methodist Church, and was a retired farmer, having farmed in the Hartley and Dickens areas.

Surviving are his wife, Lula; two daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Jean Berenger of Spencer, and Mrs. Burdette (Shirley) Petersen of Forest City; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters, and two sons.
