Margaret I. Moe, 86, of Grand Rapids, died on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006. MEMORIAL SERVICE:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007 in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids. Libbey Funeral Home & Cremation, Grand Rapids. 218-326-4000

Margaret Idso Moe, 86, passed away Dec. 31, 2006 in Grand Rapids.

She was born Nov. 16, 1920 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, to Sue and Oscar Idso. She graduated as salutatorian of her high school class in Sioux Rapids and followed that by a Baccalaureate degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield in 1942.

Margaret married Elmer A Moe of Aberdeen, S.D., on Oct. 25, 1942. After World War II, they moved to Milbank, S.D., where they resided for 12 years while Elmer was a high school teacher. Following a year in Aberdeen, Margaret and Elmer moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., where Margaret was active at Hope Lutheran Church and with the Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota.

Upon Elmer's retirement, they lived in Northfield, Minn., Hemet, Calif., and maintained a summer home near Grand Rapids, Minn. In 1997 they moved to Grand Rapids permanently.

Margaret was preceded in death by Elmer, her parents Sue and Oscar Idso, and a son, David.

Margaret is survived by one son, Arne, and one daughter, Maxine, both of Grand Rapids.

Services: Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, in St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids. Arrangements by Libbey Funeral Home and Cremation, Grand Rapids.
