Services Held for Frieda Dance

Services for Frieda Dance were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 6, 1986, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Pallbearers were Martin Strampe, Louis Lange, Clarence Hibbing, Orlynn Strampe, Bob Strampe and Curtis Strampe.

"What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung by the congregation with Mrs. Verla Hibbing at the organ. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa.

The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Frieda Dance, the daughter of Fred and Mary Dobbertin Strampe, was born March 19, 1901 near Germantown, O'Brien County, Iowa. She attended rural schools. On October 7, 1929, she was united in marriage to Archie Dance at Dakota City, Nebraska. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Paullina for many years. Archie passed away on March 22, 1969 in Paullina. Frieda continued to make her home in Paullina until entering the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar and passing away on Friday, January 3, 1986, reaching the age of 84 years, 9 months and 14 days.

Frieda was baptized on April 21, 1901, and later confirmed on May 28, 1915 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. Frieda was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina.

Frieda leaves to mourn her passing one son, Merlin and daughter-in-law, Margaret Peters of Bella Vista, Arkansas; one daughter, A. Virginia and son-in-law, Walter Banks of Richfield, Minnesota; three grandsons and one granddaughter; also three sisters: Mrs. Hilda Lange of Paullina, Mrs. Irene Schunke of Black River Falls, Wisconsin and Mrs. Evelyn Clay of Hartley; two brothers: Fred H. Strampe of Paullina and R.H. Strampe of Omaha; also a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter; one grandson; her husband; parents; and seven brothers and sisters.
