Vera Strampe

Funeral services for Vera Grace Strampe, 85, of Spirit Lake, were held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1985, 10:30 a.m. at the Donovan-Leyson Funeral Home, in Spirit Lake, with Rev. Leland C. Schwarz officiating. Mrs. Strampe died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1985 at her home in Spirit Lake.

Mary Lou Ayres was organist. Interment was in the [West] Prairie View Cemetery, in Paullina.

Vera G. Strampe was born to Martin L. Petersen [sic] and Samantha Greene at Paullina on Oct. 17, 1900. She attended school at Paullina.

On July 20, 1921 she married Henry F. Strampe at Paullina. Two children were born to this union.

Mrs. Strampe was a member of the Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Robert H. Strampe, of Detroit, MI.; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Blake of San Felipe, Mexico; two sisters, Mrs. W.D. Ralston of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. E.E. Larsen of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Strampe and a great grandson, John Hunt.
