Services Held For Burnell Puhrmann, 66

Burnell "Pete" Puhrmann', 66, Peterson, died April 27 enroute to a Sioux Falls hospital. Services were held Tuesday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at the Gaudian Funeral Home in Paullina. Rev. Virgil Wentworth of Cherokee was the clergyman. Pallbearers were Ralph Nagel, Melvin Steif, Bob Hoover, Verne Dean, Max Wetherell and Arnold Brehmer. Mrs. Marilyn Rosentrater was soloist. The Peterson American Legion Post held military graveside services at Prairie View Cemetery near Paulina.

Mr. Puhrmann was born March 22, 1908 in Baker Township, O'Brien County. He farmed in O'Brien County and worked on the railroad for many years. He retired to Peterson in 1954. He married Minnie O'Bannon Dec. 29, 1941.

Survivors include the widow; his mother, Mrs. Doris Puhrmann of Paullina; one daughter-in-law; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph (Marcella) Savage of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Charles (Pauline) Mendenhall of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. Norman Fuller of Zion, Illinois; a stepson, Donald O'Bannon of Round Lake Beach, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest of Paullina and Marvin of Sheldon; and two sisters, Mrs. Hans (Verna:) Joens of Hartley and Mrs. Ed (Florence) Koehlmoos of Paullina.
