SHELDON, IA - Funeral services for Edwin "Ed" Koehlmoos, 84, of Sheldon, formerly of Paullina, will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 1996 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon. Rev. Paul Forde will officiate with burial in the Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 7:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon. Mr. Koehlmoos passed away on Monday at the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina.

Edwin E. Koehlmoos, the son of Ehler and Mary Brooks Koehlmoos, was born June 26, 1911 in Caledonia Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John's Lutheran Church at Germantown, Iowa. On February 18, 1938 he was united in marriage to Florence Puhrmann at Sutherland, Iowa. After their marriage the couple farmed near Gaza, Iowa and later in the Paullina area for many years before moving into Paullina in 1974 and then to Sheldon in 1980. Ed passed away on Monday, June 17, 1996 at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 22 days.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina and later a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon.

Ed leaves to mourn his passing his wife Florence of Sheldon, two daughters, Janet and her husband Ron Koerselman of Sheldon, and Mary and her husband Mike Harleman of Spencer, four grandchildren, Kara Koerselman, Cory Koerselman, Tanya DeJager and Heath DeJager, also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.
