Mrs. William Rohlfsen is buried here; Services held Friday

Mrs. William Rohlfsen, 78, a resident of Sioux City since 1944, died suddenly August 4 in her home. Funeral services were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Sioux City, and 2:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina with Rev. Reuben Meyer of Marcus officiating at both services. Burial was in the Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina.

Hymns "Asleep in Jesus" and "Heaven is My Home" were sung by Mrs. James Meyer, accompanied by Mrs. Marvin Fintel. Pallbearers were LaVerne Rohlfsen, James Rohlfsen, Jerry Flynn, Harlan Crouse, Alvin Hattermann and Jeffrey Halstrom.

Wilhelmina Steinberg Rohlfsen, born April 9, 1881, in Hamburg, Germany, came to America in 1885, and resided in the Paullina vicinity, before moving to Sioux City. She was married to William Rohlfsen December 5, 1900, at Marcus. Mrs. Rohlfsen was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Survivors include the widower, six daughters, (Lillian) Mrs. Raymond Hattermann of Paullina, (Verna) Mrs. Kenneth Flynn of Topeka, Kansas, (Edna) Mrs. W. A. Sandin of Northridge, California, (Minnie) Mrs. Howard Halstrom of Paullina, Miss Erma Rohlfsen of Fullerton, California, and (Helen) Mrs. Norman Schultz of Los Angeles, California, and six sons, Orville, Harry and Clarence, all of Paullina, Elmer of Jackson, Minnesota, Ralph of Sioux City, and Glenn of Larrabee, a sister, Mrs. Ida Schmidt of Paullina, 35 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren besides a number of other relatives and friends.

The children were all able to be present at the funeral.
