Del Laue, 71, of Paullina, passed away Thursday, October 12, at the hospital in Hartley. Mr. Laue became ill in Lange's Cafe on Thursday afternoon and was taken to the hospital by the Paullina ambulance squad.

Services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at the Presbyterian Church in Paullina. Rev. Carl Soderberg, pastor of the church, officiated at the services. Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in [West] Prairie View Cemetery.

Delmar R. Laue was born November 17, 1906, at Paullina. He attended rural school and graduated from Paullina high school in 1924. He later attended Iowa State University at Ames.

He married Alice Masonholder June 7, 1941 at Sioux City. They lived in Sioux City until 1946 when he purchased the Paullina Cement and Tile Factory. He operated it until 1971 when he retired.

Survivors include the widow; one brother, Fred, of Momence, Illinois; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Berryhill of Pasadena, California; several nieces and nephews.
