Services Today for Mrs. Emil Hoger, 80

Funeral services will be held today, February 26, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina for Mrs. Emil Hoger of Paullina. Mrs. Hoger passed away Monday, February 23 at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee where she had been a patient for two days. She had suffered a broken hip earlier this winter and had been living at the Primghar Nursing Home.

Rev. Melvin will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie View Cemetery with arrangements in charge of Gaudian Funeral Home.

Anna Margaret Meyer was born February 26, 1889 near Paullina. She was married November 28, 1909 to Emil Hoger of Paullina. They farmed in the Paullina area. Mr. Hoger passed away in 1933.

Survivors include four daughters: Lena, Mrs. George Struve of Marie, Illinois; Miss Esther Hoger of Sutherland; Ruth Ann, Mrs. Claude Moore, Jr. of Longmont, Colorado; and Mavis, Mrs. Lou Capito of Fremont, California; two sons, Julius of Paullina and Harold of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Roy of Spencer and Fred of Paullina; two sisters, Kate, Mrs. Albert Feddelke and Alice, Mrs. Alvin Carlson, both of Paullina; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hoger passed away before just three days before her 81st birthday.
