Mr. and Mrs. Anne Jensen, of Slayton, Minn., were visitors in Paullina this past week. They were called by the illness and death of Mrs. Jasper J Imwiehe, mother of Mrs. Jensen.

Numerous relatives and friends in this community of the late Mrs. Imwiehe stood at her bier Tuesday, tendering her a last loving glance.

1855 - Mrs. Jasper (Dorothea Hoermann) Imwiehe - 1929

Mrs. Jasper Imwiehe, one of the early settlers of the Germantown community died at the home of her son in Paullina, on Saturday morning, March 23rd [1929], her death being due to heart failure. She was ill but a short time. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. J. Hartmeister officiating. Interment was in the Germantown Cemetery.

Dorothea Maria Charlotte Hoermann was born on the 12th day of October 1855, at Homewood, Cook County, Illinois having reached the age of 73 years, 5 months and 11 days.

She was united in marriage at Germantown, on November 30th, 1879, to Jasper Imwiehe and to this union two children were born [four were born-two died in infancy and are buried in St. John Cemetery, Germantown, Iowa] - Henry D. of Paullina and Mrs. Annal [Annel] Jensen of Minnesota.

Her husband preceded her in death, having passed away on November 30, 1924, their 45th wedding anniversary.

She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Deceased has made her home here with her son Henry for several years, after the family retired from active farming near Germantown. She was a loving wife and mother, and a woman of sterling character. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina and was always found faithful in her services to God. The Times extends Its sincere sympathy to the relatives in their hour of bereavement.
