Joseph C. Schueder, Larrabee, Iowa, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, in the Dixie Medical Center in Saint George, Utah, following an automobile accident on October 11, 2002.

Services were held Saturday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Burial was in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cherokee, Iowa, under the direction of the Greenwood Funeral Home of Cherokee.

He was born June 13, 1937, in Primghar, Iowa, to Raymond and Laura (Dailey) Schueder. He attended schools in Calumet, graduating from high school in 1955. On November 22, 1956, he married Eileen Schilmoller in Granville, Iowa. They lived in the Remsen, Cherokee and Larrabee areas all of their lives. At the time of his death, he was working for the Gleeson Construction Company of Sioux City, Iowa. He loved his family, his animals, and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Joleen Mews and her husband, Tim, of Calumet, Iowa; Jackie Joines and her fiancee, Richard Wittkop of Cherokee, Iowa; two sons: James Joseph Schueder of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; seven grandchildren; [redacted]; one great-granddaughter; one brother, James Schueder and his wife, Delores of Cherokee, Iowa; one sister, Julie Meyer and her husband, Darrell, of Plant City, Florida; one sister-in-law, Jean Schueder of Calumet, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John "Jack" Schueder.
