1893 - PAUL H. RICHTER - 1967

Paul H. Richter, son of Phillip Richter and Helena nee Labott was born Oct. 25, 1893, near Granville. Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Germantown. He attended St. John Lutheran School.

On February 27, 1921 he was united in marriage to Mayme Ahlers [sic Ahles]. To them six children were born. The deceased spent most of his life farming in this community. In 1949 he and his wife retired and moved to Paullina. This continued to be his home until his sudden death on August 29, 1967. He attained the age of 73 years, 10 months and 4 days.

He is survived by his widow, Mayme; four sons, Lawrence of Lime Springs, Luverne of Peterson, Melvin of Hartley and Leonard of Granville; by two daughters, Helen, Mrs. Alfred Hansen of Waterloo and Delores, Mrs. Harry Benner of Paullina; 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Mrs. Theodore Mueller, Mrs. Ida Koehlmoos, Mrs. William Koehlmoos, Mrs. William Pauling and Mrs. Adolf Heithus and two brothers, Ed of Granville, and Harold of Paullina. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins also survive his death.

Funeral services were held August 29 at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Melvin Thur officiating. Gaudian Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Everett Mueller, Loren Heithus, Marlin Richter, Wilmont Pauling, Leonard Stoever and Elroy Koehlmoos.

Interment was in [West] Prairie View Cemetery, here.
