Rites Held for Mrs. Wm. Slinger

Funeral serviceds for Mrs. Wm. Slinger, whose death occured last Wednesday at Ward's Memorial hospital, were held Friday at 9:30 am at Saint Anthony's church. The Rev. J.W. Cullen conducted the rites.

Margaret Springman Slinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Springman, was born at Sheldon, Iowa, February 18, 1884, and departed this life at Primghar, Iowa, May 16, 1951.

On June 21, 1905, she was united in marriage to William Slinger at Sheldon. Ten children were born to this union.

Mrs. Slinger spent the greater art of her life on farms in O'Brien county She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Catholic Ladies' club.

She was a loving and faithful mother. Her chief concern was making an ideal home for her family.

Mrs. Slinger had been a resident of Primghar since 1944. She had been in ill health for some time and suffered a stroke a few days before her death.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband; ten children, Sister Mary Serena of Chicago; Mrs. Fred Glaser and Mrs. Lawrence Jepp of Hartley; Mrs. Raymond Krumm and Jake Slinger of Primghar; and Herman, Edward, Will, Henry and Marcella, at home; also seven grandchildren.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral services were: Mrs. Charley Springmann and family of Wilmont, Minnesota; Jake Slinger, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Geraets, Ted, Martha, and Johanna Geraets, and Mr. and Mrs. Matt Wolles of Dell Rapids, South Dakota; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Slinger and son of Woodstock, Minnesota.
