Services held for Kermit R. Jacobson

Services for Kermit R. Jacobson were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 21, 1987, at the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Gregory Bock officiating. The pallbearers were: Curt Berntson, Ray Puhrmann, Bob Engel, Bill Simm, Ed Ewoldt and Marlo Griebel. "How Great Thou Art" and "Lord's Prayer" were sung by Jack Grosvenor. Organist: Mrs. Kay Grosvenor. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa. The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Kermit R. Jacobson, the son of Jacob and Marie Kommendahl Jacobson, was born March 26, 1909, on a farm near Paullina, Iowa. He attended Paullina schools and graduated from Paullina High School in 1926.

On December 3,1939, he was united in marriage to Marian Kramer in Paullina, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple settled in Paullina where Kermit owned and operated Jacobson's Produce, until his retirement in 1973.

After his retirement, the couple enjoyed several winters in Arizona, where Kermit passed away on Thursday, December 17, 1987, at the Scottsdale Memorial Hospital, reaching the age of 78 years, 8 months and 21 days.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paullina.

Kermit leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Marian of Paullina; two sons: Steven of Bellevue, Washington and Randy and daughter-in-law, Connie Jacobson of Bakersfield, California; and one daughter: Sally and son-in-law, Michael Ford of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; seven grandchildren; also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and seven sisters.
