MRS. CLARENCE HEDIN 1901 - 1968

Margaret Dorothy Sundquist, daughter of Agnes and Alrick Sundquist was born February 20, 1901, in Moline, Illinois. She attended grade school in Moline. In 1914 the family moved to Baker Township in O'Brien County, Iowa. She was graduated from Paullina High School in 1919.

After teaching in a rural school for two years, she was united in marriage with Clarence Hedin on September 7, 1921, at Primghar, Iowa. To them were born two sons, Glenn and Dale, and one daughter, Marilyn. A niece, Lucille, was also reared as a daughter in the Hedin home.

After 44 years farming, Mr. and Mrs. Hedin retired, moving to their new home in Paullina. in 1965. Mrs. Hedin died March 16, 1968 in Temple, Texas, at the age of 67.

She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church, and was active in WSCS, Order of Eastern Star and the PEO Sisterhood. She was s chairman of the O'Brien County Cancer Board.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, and one sister, one son, and a grandson.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Clarence, one son, Dale of Granville, two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Roy Ewoldt) of Paullina, and Lucille (Mrs. Richard Daily) of Kansas City, Kansas, ten grandchildren, and one brother, Herman Sundquist of La Jolla, Calif.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral services here March 19 were Mr. and Mrs. Mac Woolsey, Naperville, Illinois, Helen Woolsey, Galesburg, Illinois, Mrs. Art McKee, Victoria, Illinois, Lyle Sundquist, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Norman Buchner, Tulsa, Okla., and Herman Sundquist, La Jolla, Calif.
