Ruth Rahn, nee Murdock, was born March 17, 1901 at Laurel, Marshall County, Iowa. She passed away suddenly at the Hartley Community Hospital at the age of 68 years, five months and five days.

She attended rural schools near her childhood home, and later attended Drake University at Des Moines.

She was united in marriage to Carl Rahn, and to them were born two children: Patricia and John.

She was an active member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley and a member of the Klio Club.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Carl her two children, Mrs Gary (Patricia) Ahrenstorff and John Rahn; six grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Services were held from Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Hartley on Monday, August 25, 1969. Rev. A.O. Bleeke officiated. She is at rest in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley. Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
