1874- J. Huston Doling - 1957

J. Huston Doling, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Doling, was born in O'Brien County, November 29, 1874, and passed away in a Cedar Rapids, Iowa, hospital June 12, 1957.

As a child he attended the rural schools in the county. In 1910, he was married to Miss Grace Barrows, the wedding taking place in New York state. The couple then returned to O'Brien county, where Mr. Doling farmed until about fifteen years ago, when he moved to Cedar Rapids. He was a member of the Methodist church, and the Knights of Pythias.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife in October of 1930, two brothers, and two sisters.

Surviving are his son, Kenneth Doling of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. John Donavan and Mrs. Andy Montgomery, both of Los Angeles, California; and one brother, Tom Doling of Sutherland.

Funeral services under the direction of Baumgartens were held in the Baumgarten Funeral Home Saturday afternoon, June 15, 1957, at 2 pm. The Rev. Warren A. Bintz, pastor of the Sutherland Methodist church was in charge. Burial took place in the Waterman Cemetery.
