John Stewart, for a number of years a resident of this county, residing a a few miles south of Hartley, but for the last ten years has been living near Ocheyedan, died suddenly at his home last Tuesday in the early forenoon.

He was in his usual good health, feeling first rate, going out to the barn, instructing his sons as to the plan of work for the day. Upon going back to the house he was suddenly taken sick to his stomach and in a few minutes passed away.

This is not only a sad blow to the immediate family, but to the entire community. He was a mad of good character, honorable in every particular. The sympathy of all are extended to the bereaved family.

The funeral will be held this Thursday afternoon in Hartley, and interment in the Hartley Cemetery.
