funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Omaha, Nebraska, for Mrs. George Wheelock, who passed away at a hospital there on December 8th. Her death was attributed to pneumonia.
Mrs. Wheelock was 83 years old and is survived by her widower, George; two sisters, Mrs. John Mackaman of Colome, South Dakota, and Mrs. C.W. Hansen of Estherville, Iowa; two brothers, Foster Armstrong of Florida and Warren Armstrong of Los Angeles, California; three grandsons, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. The only son, George, preceded her in death in 1918.
Her widower and three grandsons, Edward, Francis and Robert Wheelock, with their mother from Rochester, Minnesota, accompanied the body to Hartley where graveside services were held on December 11 and interment was made in the James Armstrong lot in Pleasant View Cemetery. Rev. R.A. Roloff, pastor of the local Methodist church, officiated.
The deceased was well known in this community, having been a rural school teacher here many years ago. In recent years, she had several books published.
