Esther Lillian nee Zitterich Lauritsen, the daughter of Frederick and Emma Zerke Zitterich, was born March 22, 1919 in Estherville, Iowa. She attended the Estherville schools.

She was united in marriage to Glenn Laurtisen on December 5, 1949, in Estherville, Iowa. They made their home in Estherville until moving to Paullina in 1982.

Esther passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 1985, reaching the age of 66 years, 1 month and 23 days.

She was baptized May 11, 1919, and confirmed on May 20, 1934 at Imanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville, and was currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina.

Esther leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Glenn of Paullina; her children: Two daughters - Kay Skinner of Camanche, Iowa, and Jo (Mrs. Paul Hibbing)of Granville, Iowa; three grandchildren, Kayleen, Chris, and Paul; two brothers: Francis Zitterich of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Walter Zitterich of Doliver; and three sisters: Evelyn (Mrs. Donald Muetzel) of Spencer, Lois (Mrs. Jack Rogers) of Estherville, and Marybelle (Mrs. Duane Dahl) of Magnolia, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Services for Esther Lillian Lauritsen were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 1985, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa.
