William Kaiser, 76, of 207 Locus Street, Marcus, passed away Monday, December 20th at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Cherokee after an illness of several months.

Mr. Kaiser, the son of Mattias and Anna Knauft Kaiser, was born April 24, 1900, at the family farm home north of Marcus. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith, attended public school of this home community and St. John's Lutheran School of Germantown, where he was also confirmed.

He spent the days of his boyhood and young manhood on is parental farm, farming with his father, and upon his father's death in 1920, for his mother.

On February 21, 1926, he was married to Miss Mildred Harms, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Harms, of Marcus, and three children were born to this union. Mr. and Mrs. Kaiser continued farming on the home place after their marriage, and remained on their farm until 1963 when they retired and moved to Marcus. Mr. Kaiser was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church, Marcus, since its organization in 1944.

Funeral services were held in Peace Lutheran Church Thursday, December 23, at 10:30 a.m. Burial was at [West] Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina.

He left to mourth his wife, Mildred; daughter, Phyllis (Mrs. Dale Heins), Columbus, Nebraska; dsons, Wilbur, Marcus, and Harold, Fort Walton Beach, Fla; five grandchildren, John Heins, Ogden, Utah; Judy (Mrs. Robert Lippert), Omaha, Nebraska; Gail Kaiser, Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Jeffrey Heins, Columbus, Nebraska; and Crystal Kaiser, Marcus; brother, Harry Kaiser, Marcus, and sister, Alma of Long Beach California; also a number of relatives and a host of friends.
