Ronald J. Hagenbucher, the son of Lester and Lora Horman Hagenbucher, was born July 11, 1932 at Paullina, Iowa. He attended Paullina schools and graduated from Paullina High School in 1951. He then entered the Army which he served during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954.

On October 24, 1957, he was united in marriage to Jean Brennan in Mallard, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple settled in Paullina where for 34 years he was eployed in the Postal Service, serving as Postmaster from 1977 until his death.

He passed away on Sunday, August 20, 1989 at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, reaching the age of 57 years, 1 month and 9 days.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina; and the Russel West Post of the American Legion of Paullina.

Bud leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Jean of Paullina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and David Treimer of Hartley, Iowa and Rhonda and Tom Schilmoeller of Granville, Iowa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Pam Hagenbucher of West Des Moines, Iowa and Keith and Lana Hagenbucher of Arlington, Texax; six grandchildren [redacted]; his mother, Mrs. Lorna Hagenbucher of Paullina; two sisters, Mrs. William (Bonnie) Joines of Meriden, Iowa; and Mrs. Duane (Donna) Main of Cherokee; also a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.
