Thomas Evan Weale , son of Rice and Rena Van Leven Weale, was born in Sutherland, Iowa, September 28, 1878, and passed away while a patient in the hospital in Hartley, Iowa , on Wednesday, December 12, 1956.

As a youth he attended the rural schools in the neighborhood of Sutherland. On September 21, 1910, he was united in marriage to Miss Lizzie Barner, the wedding taking place in Coon Rapids, Iowa . To them were born three children, two daughters, Maurine, and Ruth, and one son, Evan. The family lived on the farm for most of their active years. In 1939, Mr. Weale discontinued farming. He was affiliated with the Methodist church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his wife on July 4, 1953.

Those who survive are his daughters, Mrs. Lorin (Maurine ) Ewoldt, of Tacoma, Washington; Mrs. Alton (Ruth) Rine, of Haines City, Florida; and his son, Evan Weale, of Sutherland, Iowa ; also seven grandchildren, Gary and Ronald Ewoldt, Shirley and Nancy Rine, and Dennis, Cheryl and Nancy Weale.
