Charles K. Reimers (1884-1969)

Charles K. Reimers was born October 20, 1884, in Arcadia, Iowa. He passed away Thursday, June 5, 1969, at a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. He had reached the age of 84 years, 7 months and 15 days. He had been in failing health for the last six months.

On February 14, 1912, he was married to Laura Rinck of Hartley. To this union were born two sons and two daughters.

He farmed in the Hartley area until 1927 when they moved to Toronto, South Dakota where he resided until 1964 when they moved to Omaha.

Preceding him in death were his parents, six brothers, and three sisters. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Laura, two daughters (Velma) Mrs Raymond Hanna of Brookings, South Dakota, (Helen) Mrs. Arnold Ost of Omaha; two sons, Freeman of Montevideo, Minnesota, and Elmer of Omaha; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Year of Primghar, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Services were held Saturday, June 7 in the Brewer Korisko Chapel at Omaha. Rev. Lowell E. Byall f the Masher Memorial United Presbyterian church officiating.

Casket bearers were his grandsons: Glenn Hanna, Robert Hanna, Ronald Hanna, Donald Ost and Charles Reimers.

He is at rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Omaha.

Attending the services from Hartley were Mr. Theodore Rinck, Mr. Gilbert Rinck, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mayou, Mrs. Alice Boetel, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Glaser, and Mrs Bertha Year of Primghar.
