Graveside services for Margaret Bruns Bjork were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 16, 1989, at Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa. Reve. Gregory Bock officiated.

Margaret Bruns Bjork, the daughter of Carl and Ella Strahmann Westphal, was born November 19, 1916 in Dale Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. She received her education at O'Brien country rural schools.

On February 16, 1937, she was united in marriage to Clemence Bruns in South Dakota. After their marriage, the couple resided in Paullina where Margaret was employed at Lange's Cafe and Millie's Rest Home in Sutherland. Clemence preceded her in death in 1960.

On January 2, 1964, she was united in marriage to Delbert Bjork in South Dakota. The couple made their home in Paullina where Delbert passed away in 1976. The last several years, Margaret has been a resident of the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina. She passed away there on Friday, October 13, 1989, reaching the age of 72 years, 10 months and 24 days.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paullina.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory one son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Alta Bruns of Spencer, four grandchildren: [redacted]; one sister, Mrs. Viola Hoppe of Primghar; three brothers: Elmer Westphal of Bakersfield, California, Ralph Westphal of Round Lake, Illinois, and Lester Westphal of Milton, Iowa; also a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clemence and Delbert; two sons, John and Gene, one grandson, Bradley, her twin sister, Martha, one brother, Vernon, and her parents.
