Walter F. Rohrs, a son of George Rohrs and Anna nee Woese, was born on Nov. 10, 1914, on a farm near Paullina, Iowa. He received his education in a rural school near his home and later attended the St. John's Lutheran day school in Germantown. He was later confirmed at St. John's. Walter spent most of his time on the farm with his parents till about ten years ago he moved to Paullina with his mother. His father died in 1951 and his mother in 1957.

Walter had been living alone in Paullina and had been apparently in good health till Monday of the past week when he suffered a heart attack and passed away Aug. 28 at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 18 days.

He is survived by his brothers Rheiny of Alton, and Helmut and Ernest of Sanborn. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Gaudian Funeral Home with Rev.Paul Sohn officiating. Interment was in Prairie View cemetery.
